About

Founded in 2016, Sylvia's Clubhouse was opened with the intention of giving children six and under a safe, warm, and welcoming place to play.

We are a mom owned and operated business, and we take pride in that. Sylvia's appeals to toddlers because it was opened with a toddler, then two-year-old Sylvia, in mind. Currently, all staff members have children who accompany them daily. They "test out" our new ideas and toys; we know your family will love The Clubhouse, because ours do.

When people enter Sylvia's they immediately notice our large bounce house and climbing playground. They will also see a vet clinic, "car park" filled with vehicles and a train table, comfy reading nook, and STEM corner containing toys and instruments known to help little minds develop and inspire creative problem solving. We also have a dramatic play area with kitchens, a store, puppet theater, doll nursery, and costumes.

Child Safety

The problem with many indoor play spaces is that smaller children are often overwhelmed by older playmates. This can lead to safety issues, especially for babies and new walkers. Not only does our limited age range help to address this, we also have a baby zone dedicated exclusively to children under two.

Because our children play here as well, cleanliness is an absolute priority. We follow a strict, nurse designed regiment that utilizes multiple phases of cleaning to ensure the most wholesome environment possible. Our "Yuck Buckets" allow caregivers and staff to immediately remove any toys from the play floor that have been in mouths or other situations that would require immediate and thorough sanitizing. All of our cleaning products are rated for daycares and medical facilities.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR SPACE AND THE IMPORTANCE OF MAINTAINING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT, WE CANNOT ALLOW ANYONE WITH A CONTAGIOUS ILLNESS TO PLAY. IF ANYONE IN YOUR PARTY IS SICK, PLEASE STAY HOME.

Our kids are what makes us special

Tori

I am a Florida native who started my higher education journey at USF with the intention of becoming an elementary school teacher. As I approached the end of my degree I realized that as much as I had enjoyed my classes- and LOVED kids- the school system was not where I wanted to be. Instead I pursued a degree in nursing, and have worked in health care for almost a decade. After my daughter was born, I made the decision to become a stay at home mother. I was lucky enough to meet Jenna, the founder of Sylvia's Clubhouse, and as we became good friends so did our daughters. Working at The Clubhouse was a natural transition for both myself and River. When Jenna realized her heart was still in teaching, we came together and made the choice to have me run Sylvia's in her place. I'm incredibly happy to be here, and excited to help build our Clubhouse community.

Jessica

I've been working as a paramedic since 2003 and have been caring for kids in many different aspects since i was a teenager. My husband and I got married in 2011 and have two beautiful boys, Drew and Alex. I love being able to bring my little men to the clubhouse with me.

Weilian

My name is Weilian Jiang. I was born and raised in Shanghai, China and immigrated to the United States in 2009. I am a graduate of the University of South Florida and hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health. Being bilingual and having prior teaching experience permits me with the privilege of being able to teach Chinese to all the little ones at Sylvia’s Clubhouse. My husband I have a little girl who was born in December of 2018. Wanting to spend more time with my daughter and still be an actively-working mother lead me to seek out employment at Sylvia’s Clubhouse. I look forward to meeting all the parents and children throughout my time at the clubhouse.
